NTP Software ODA™, the latest addition to NTP Software’s product portfolio, enables employees to manually archive files into Enterprise Vault based on individual selections, or the user can select from a predefined set of criteria such as file size, age of last access, etc. (User-Driven Archiving™). Customers may also choose to establish policies that automatically archive files as users reach their storage limits (Quota-Driven Archiving™). NTP Software advises enterprises to “take control” and educate users

NASHUA, NH — June 7, 2006 – NTP Software, the worldwide leader in user-focused, policy-based storage management, is advising Fortune 1000 enterprises to use the summer and finally “take control” of their storage platforms and educate users on policies.

“Employees typically take more vacation time during the summer months, however, network storage systems don’t have this luxury,” said Bruce Backa, CEO of NTP Software. “We’re advising the enterprise storage administrator to use the next several months to build out their storage policy strategy to better manage resources in preparation for the busy season.”

NTP Software has noted increased levels of network storage usage during the summer as employees accrue photos of vacations, weddings and family events, for example. During slow summer months, employees may also take advantage of the latest technologies featuring video blogs, online TV and digital home videos. Without the processes in place to identify illegitimate files on the network, organizations risk security breaches and regulatory compliance failure.

“In an effort to help them take control, we’re urging storage administrators to use technologies to classify and apply content filtering policies to prevent users from consuming disk space with frivolous data,” continued Backa. “The introduction of new storage formats means that users could take up vast amounts of space very quickly. Take for instance, uncompressed HD video, which takes up over half a terabyte per hour of video. Due to the potential shortage of IT administration during the coming summer months, NTP Software advises that enterprises should also implement automated processes to ensure effective management of the organization’s storage infrastructure.

Lastly, enterprises can expect a number of new hires, which will require administrators need to clearly communicate storage management policies, but not spend an abundance of time doing so. NASHUA, NH—April 1, 2004 — NTP Software, a worldwide leader in storage resource management, announced a new Channel Program aimed at software resellers that provides the reseller community a best-of-breed Storage Management software for Windows environments. The program focuses on increasing worldwide reseller presence and providing resources that will lead to profitable business opportunities.

The NTP Software Channel Program has a two-tiered approach that includes a Channel Builder and Channel Partner level. The channel builder level is for strategic resellers who are looking to partner with NTP and become an NTP Software Champion. The Channel Partner program is for resellers who are seeking a partnership with NTP and bring their value add to our software.

The Channel Program focuses on many of the areas sensitive to resellers such as, discounts, rebates, leads disbursement and tracking, technical and sales training as well as a complete offering of joint marketing events and activities.

Under NTP’s channel program, a marketing representative from NTP personally helps the reseller drive demand for products that can be sold to their customers. Under the new program both Channel Builders and Channel Partners have the opportunity to be trained at NTP’s facilities or at their own locations by highly qualified trainers who have been featured as speakers and trainers at Microsoft technical events all over the world.
